General Eligibility of Candidates
H.S.C.
Candidate must have passed either Higher Secondary School Examination (H.S.C.) with optional subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Pre Engg) group from any authorized Board of Education in Pakistan or an equivalent Foreign Examination recognized as such by the University and should fulfill the following conditions:
- Each applicant should have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate (excluding grace marks).
- The year of passing the examination held should not be earlier than the two years immediately prior to submission of application. The candidate who have passed the above examinations or equivalent examinations before Annual Examination 2017 shall not be eligible for admission for the session 2019-20 (Batch-20).
- Candidate should not be more than 22 years of age. Candidate born before 4-Nov-1997 is not eligible to apply.
- The candidate who have passed H.S.C. (General Science Group/ Computer Science) with a combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science is eligible for their admission only in Electronic Engineering, Computer System Engineering & Telecommunication Engineering. He/She will not claim their admission in any other discipline.
- The Candidate having passed examination equivalent to H.S.C. (Pre-Engineering) from Education Institution located in Pakistan have to obtain equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee, Islamabad.
- Diploma of Associate Engineer (D.A.E.)
Candidate must have passed three year’s Diploma of Associate Engineer (D.A.E.) from a recognized Board of Technical Education, Pakistan, in relevant discipline. The list of relevant technologies order of preference is as under.

- Applicant should have obtained at least 60% marks in aggregate (excluding grace marks).

- Candidate admitted in 1st Year of Engineering/ Architecture class of the University on the basis of having passed A.E. shall not be allowed change of discipline.
- A candidate having passed the A.E. examination in any technology other than that mentioned above is not eligible for admission.

Admission against all following categories is subject to the eligibility of the candidates explained in this section.

| 18 | Self-Finance Scheme

The Candidates holding the domicile and PRC of any area of Pakistan having passed H.S.C. (Pre-Engineering) Examinations from any authorized Board of Education in Pakistan or an equivalent Foreign Examination recognized by the University and fulfills eligibility criteria laid down in 4.2.1.
(a) The separate merit list will be prepared on overall merit basis in accordance with merit policy defined in chapter 5 (b) There shall be no quota of Sindh province or for urban and rural areas of the provinces under this scheme. |
- Ineligibility of Candidates (applicable to all the categories of admission):
- The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination of 2019 in supplementary.
- The candidates who have passed the last qualifying examination H.S.C. / D.A.E. with less than 60% aggregate marks.
- Convicted by a Court of law for an offense involving moral turpitude.
- The candidate has not obtained equivalence certificate from the Chairman Inter Board Committee Islamabad before last date of submission of application for pre admission (if applicable).
- Candidate seeking admission on seats reserved for D.A.E. in any technology / sub technology not specified in the 4.2.2.
- A candidate not fulfilling the criteria for admission, as laid down in “Eligibility Conditions”
- Candidate whose academic certificates are found tempered. A legal Criminal action would be taken against such, candidate(s).
- Candidate who has already obtained admission elsewhere in Pakistan unless he/she submits cancellation certificate of admission from the said institution.
- REJECTION OF APPLICATION
- The Vice Chancellor of the University is competent to reject/cancel any application without assigning any reason.
The application shall be rejected summarily in case the applicant is found guilty of any suppression or misrepresentation of material facts at any stage. The Vice-Chancellor can further debar him from seeking admission in the University
